What we've updated

Two different records, kept apart on purpose. Below: the times we published something that was wrong — not just outdated, wrong — and what we did about it. Further down: the routine log of price checks, new listings and rescores, pulled straight from the commit history behind our provider data.

A price that turned out to be a different number, a rescore that moved a rank — that's the routine log below. This section is different: something we told readers as fact that was not true, for a specific stretch of time, on a specific page. Every entry states what we published, what was actually true, and how we caught it.

"Prices re-verified monthly" was not true

What we published
The claim "prices re-verified monthly" (or close variants) appeared in 10 places sitewide — the homepage hero and FAQ, /cheapest (6 separate instances: kicker, hero copy, trust-strip badge, FAQ answer, methodology section, footer disclaimer), /compare pages (JSON-LD FAQ, trust-strip badge, closing note), /about, /editorial-policy, /terms, llms.txt, and the footer. /editorial-policy separately claimed the build process "refuses to publish" a price change without re-verification.
What was actually true
Re-verification runs weekly via GitHub Actions, not monthly, and no build step has ever blocked publication on a price change — that mechanism was never built. Worse, for a 45-82 day stretch (2026-07-07 through 2026-08-25) the cloud sandbox meant to run weekly re-verification had no network access to any external site at all, so zero re-confirmations happened in that entire window while the "monthly" claim stayed live and unqualified.
How we found out
Found during an audit of the price-display code, not flagged externally. Fixed by replacing all 10 instances with language describing what the system actually does (automated weekly checks, per-provider verification status, 45-day auto-expiry from "Verified" to "Last confirmed"), and by adding shared constants (lib/site.ts) so the claim can only be written in one place going forward.

Yucca Health's "month-2 price step-up" never existed

What we published
The published Yucca Health review told readers the $146 rate was a first-month teaser that stepped up to roughly $206/mo starting month 2 (and $275/mo month-to-month), and built its verdict around "good value IF you budget for the step-up." The transparency score's justification cited the same step-up as a mark against the clinic.
What was actually true
Those figures were never confirmed against Yucca's own site. They came from third-party summary sites (yourhealthmagazine.net, glp1clinics.org), pulled in during a window when our own check tooling could not reach tryyucca.com directly. A live, real-browser check on 2026-08-28 found Yucca's own FAQ states plainly: "$125 per month with the 6-month plan ($750 total); the month-to-month plan is $146 per month." No step-up exists at any point.
How we found out
A scheduled live re-verification pass (Playwright, real browser render) that happened to check the underlying claim directly rather than trusting the earlier third-party source.

Our first fix for missing data rewarded clinics that block us

What we published
When we introduced scoring pricing only within comparable pricing models, some clinics ended up with no verifiable pricing structure at all. Our first version of the rule for handling that missing criterion spread the missing weight across each clinic's remaining criteria — redistributing it.
What was actually true
That approach quietly converted absent evidence into a bonus: it re-weighted each clinic's total onto whatever it happened to score best on. Under it, Ro rose to #1 overall and Hims & Hers to #3 — the two clinics that block our automated price checks outright with hard 403 responses — while Yucca Health, which publishes both its price tiers and its total prepay amount, fell seven places. The clinics that let us verify the least ranked the highest. We replaced it the same day with a floor rule: an unscored criterion is credited at the lowest score that clinic earned on any criterion we could assess, which can only lower or hold a score, never raise one — a property of the arithmetic, not a promise.
How we found out
Caught internally while reviewing the rescore's own results before publishing them further — the Ro/Hims-Yucca reversal was implausible on its face and prompted checking the mechanism, not just the numbers.
