Watch out for

LifeMD is a real, accountable company, which makes the places its weight-loss pages disagree with themselves easier to see. WHAT IT GETS RIGHT, VERIFIED: the operator is named with a street address (LifeMD, Inc., 236 Fifth Avenue, Suite 400, New York, NY, New York governing law); it is publicly traded on NASDAQ as LFMD; the Terms and the Notice of Privacy Practices name the nine affiliated medical practices that treat patients (LifeMD Southern, Atlantic, Kansas, Midwest, New England, Puerto Rico and South Central Patient Medical Care, New York Patient Medical Care, and Puopolo M.D., P.C.); every medication it prescribes for weight loss is FDA-approved, and the one compounded-drug disclaimer it carries states plainly that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. (1) THE HEADLINE PRICE IS HALF THE BILL. The homepage hero reads "Access FDA-approved Wegovy®, starting at just $149‡". The footnote adds: "Price does not include the monthly program & provider fee of $149 (first month discounted to $39 today)." On a month to month plan, the Wegovy pill costs you $298 a month at the starting dose and $448 a month at the 25 mg maintenance dose. (2) THREE DIFFERENT PROGRAM FEES FOR THE SAME PROGRAM. The homepage and /weight-management say the first month is $39. The Wegovy pill pages and /novocare/wegovy say the fee is "$149 (discounted to $75 today)". The drug pages and a LifeMD article explain that $75 is the rate "on an annual plan", "when paid up front". So the $75 "today" on the pill pages is a prepaid annual rate presented as a discount, and the Terms (§7) rule out a prorated refund if you cancel part way through a term. (3) "MEDICARE ACCEPTED" AND "NOT ELIGIBLE" ON THE SAME PAGE. /weight-management carries a "Medicare Accepted" badge near the top. Its own FAQ, lower down, says "those with any form of government healthcare coverage (including programs such as Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE) … are not eligible for LifeMD GLP-1 weight loss programs". The Wegovy and Zepbound drug pages repeat the exclusion. If you are on Medicare, ask before you pay a program fee. (4) THE PEN PRICE AFTER THE INTRO IS NOT ON LIFEMD'S SITE. LifeMD calls $199 the "Initial" Wegovy pen price and stops there. Novo Nordisk's own Wegovy page says $199 covers two monthly fills at the two lowest doses, then $349 a month. (5) THE 4 MG PILL PRICE DOES NOT MATCH THE MANUFACTURER. LifeMD's 4 mg page says "Starting at $149". Novo Nordisk's page says "$199 per month for 4 mg". The pill is dispensed through Novo's NovoCare pharmacy, so expect the manufacturer's price. (6) A 4.9 RATING THE INDEPENDENT RECORD PUTS AT 3.9. LifeMD's pages show "4.9 Stars Verified Average LifeMD Patient Reviews". Its own claimed Trustpilot profile (trustpilot.com/review/lifemd.com, claimed July 2021, opened directly 2026-10-04) reads 3.9 out of 5 across 4,270 reviews, 1,261 in the last 12 months, with 15% one-star. LifeMD does not attribute its 4.9 to Trustpilot, so this is a self-reported figure set against a live, claimed corpus, not a misused platform badge. (7) THE MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE IS NARROWER THAN THE BANNER. "Lose 10% of your weight or your money back" applies after 12 continuous months, refunds only the program fee "minus the cost of program costs incurred by LifeMD" (consultations, insurance verification, prior authorization, labs), and requires weekly weigh-ins logged in the portal and every appointment kept. Medication is never refunded. WHAT WE CHECKED AND FOUND CLEAN: the FDA warning-letter database returns no letter for LifeMD, LifeMD, Inc., lifemd.com, RexMD, Conversion Labs or the affiliated practices (searched fda.gov's datatables endpoint directly, exact phrase, 2026-10-04); the BBB lists LifeMD, Inc. in New York with an A rating (bbb.org search API, 2026-10-04; the profile page itself was behind a bot check, so we could not read the complaint count). LegitScript certification is claimed in LifeMD's FAQ; LegitScript's checker requires a reCAPTCHA, so we could not confirm it either way.
